1996-2003→ chemas mother became pregnant in 1996. she yearned for a girl for years before, and for what will be years to come. at the same time, chemas father lost his job, and fell into a depressive state. right before chemas birth, he shot himself. when chemas mother discovered chemas was to be a boy, she became spiteful, blaming chema for her husbands death. upon chemas arrival, she treated him as a girl, giving him a feminine name and dressing him up in only dresses. the only person who knew any different was his older brother, age 6 at the time. as chema grew, her spite turned to jealousy, angry that he was growing into a beauty, despite being male.

2003-2014 → chema spent much of his childhood being teased for his appearance. for being to feminine, for being too good looking, for his big lips and pale skin. he found consolation in movies. there, the son would escape his cruel mother. there, the tormentors wouldn't live to see the next day. his solace in film became distorted, no longer able to differentiate between reality and fiction, resulting in morally grey actions. it wasn't long until bullies stopped picking on him and started showing up with scars.

2014-2018 → he came to hate the way he looked, the way his name sounded in other peoples mouth. his first year in film school, he discovered a snuff film. enlightenment. after watching the film thesis, a movie about snuff, he named himself after the character, chema, refusing to be acknowledged any other way. he became obsessed with recreating his own snuff film, believing movies nowadays are too mild. he actively sought out danger, luring others with him and into a false sense of comfort with the intention of getting their pain on camera. the world was his canvas and he wanted to paint red.

currently, chema actively does things he views as masculine. he lashes out when people comment on his appearance. he identifies as straight due to the impression of masculinity he has, a new girl on his arm every week. however, should the right person of the same sex come around, this will cause inner turmoil for him.
